Philips GA-212/312 Touch Control Lamp Kit – Auto Stop Sensor, 45, 33, and Stop

Greeting Phillips turntable owners.  For sale is a replacement bulb set for your GA212 turntable, and early production GA312 turntable, with touch controls (green colored capacitance switches).
Proper lamps are critical to the circuitry of the turntable. The bulbs need the correct voltage, amp, and watt rating in order for the turntable to function properly.
These bulbs are manufactured in Europe, and are designed for the Philips turntable.
Four lamps per set:
2 bulbs with proper specs for the Stop and End of Record sensor.
2 bulbs with proper specs for the 45 and 33 speed sensor.
These incandescent bulbs will fit into the sockets inside your turntable.  If one of your bulbs has burned out, chances are good the others are not far from doing the same … although not bad for 40+ years of service!
A burned out lamp will defeat certain functions such as pitch control, or stopping at the end of the record. If for example your auto stop function no longer works, it’s most likely due to a burned out bulb preventing the auto-stop.
Auto stop is actuated as light hits a photo-sensitive cell.  This photoresistor, which of course is light-dependent, cannot function if your table’s bulb has burned out. The result is your platter will spin until you stop it yourself. Not only is this an inconvenience, it can wear down your stylus.
Use your Philips owners manual for guidance when replacing the bulbs. As long as your table is open, replace all of the bulbs.
We have seen tables with a bad “Stop” bulb resulting in all three selector bulbs not working.  And as always, make sure your turntable is powered off before any type of electrical work.
